The new "Granny's Friends" page is dedicated to those "special" folks out there who have gone above and beyond the call to help promote GoGrannyGo.com, Granny's music, and spread the word throughout cyber space. To these special people, we are eternally grateful . . .

Tom Lucas Tom Lucas
Tom was born in Montreal, raised in Vancouver, and has been involved in radio for nearly 30 years! He started his own radio show in the basement of his parents' home when he was a kid. When he wasn't broadcasting, Tom was hanging around radio stations. (Get a life, Tom). When all the other kids were hangin' out, going to the movies, or having parties, Tom was in his radio world. Fortunately, he came out of his cave eventually and married. He now lives with his wife, his two daughters, and his female dog, Jesse.

Retro-Rock Radio
Over the years Tom and his family moved around as he pursued his radio dream. Tom has worked for CKAY, Duncan; CJJC, Langley; CJKL, Kirkland (northern Ontario); CKGF, Grand Forks; CKOK, Penticton; CKOC, Hamilton; CFGO, Ottawa; CFUN, Vancouver; CHRX, Vancouver; CKWX, Vancouver; CISL, Vancouver; and his last gig was the Satellite Radio Network out of Vancouver, which was syndicated nationally. Tom has also dabbled in television in both Vancouver and Seattle.

Tom can currently be heard hosting the Retro-Rock Rowdies live radio and chat. You can go there and listen to retro-rock music to your heart's content, along with all of Tom's Retro-Rowdies who faithfully tune in to his live radio broadcast. At the same time, you can join Tom's loyal followers in mirc chat simultaneously.

When you go to Tom's site, click on the chat section—on the sidebar to the left—and join this lively, fast-paced group. Tom's there too, and you can chat with him live while he's doing the show. It's a nice bunch of people, and you'll have a great time meeting and chatting with them.

Tom was the first DJ in the world to debut "Surfin' On The World Wide Web" ©, a recent smash hit cyber surf tune penned by our own "Doc Of Rock," and your host for this site, Don Atlfeld, who also co-authored "The Little Old Lady From Pasadena" ©.

Tom intervied the "Doc" live on Retro-Rock Radio hosted, on radio stations CISL & CFRN in British Columbia and Alberta . A good time was had by all and we thank Tom for his gracious support.

Don't forget to listen to "Surfin' On The World Wide Web" © — surf's up! Rock on Tom, and the rest of the Retro-Rock Rowdies.

Shy-Leigh Davis Shy-Leigh Davis
Born Mardee Shy-Leigh Davis, I use my middle name of "Shy." I was born in 1964, and was adopted in the USA at age 1½. I spent many years between New Zealand and the United States. I began racing on a dare when I was 18 years old, and fell in love with it and kept going—even when I spent a few years in a wheelchair.

That's when I started the 10 steps toward walking again! See what steps I took to do that by going to my home page.

I retired from racing last year due to an injury that, from what they tell me now, is unfixable. So my knees will just have to fall off before anything gets done.

I've met several people in my life. But the most important were cast members of the long-running television show, M*A*S*H. I have autographs from Alan Alda, Wayne Rogers, Jaime Farr, and Mike Farrell hanging on my walls!

I've spent a lot of time in cyber space, but I love it! There is so much information and so many places you can visit there. My favorite place is the Retro-Rock Show, hosted by Tom Lucas. I love that show! It also helped me meet some wonderful people from the Retro Rock Rowdies and hundreds of others.

Some day, when I'm brave enough, I am going to write a book on healing yourself from paralysis. Whether or not you actually walk again, it helps to have a positive attitude!
